Friendship is Harmony: Artists Wanted
Hello everybody! This is XiaomuXReiji16, aka, Xiaomu Smash 14, your local Ultimate Pantheon Queen here, coming to you guys for an announcement about My Little Danganronpa V3: Friendship is Harmony! As some of you may or may not know, a while back, I started a new crossover fanfic that involved the characters of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony that take place sometime after the events of their stories (in V3’s case, it’s been a few months since the end of their killing game, and in FiM’s case, it takes place a few years [I’d say 6 years at most] after The End of the End part 2 and nowhere near the time The Last Problem takes place). Long story short, I knew that I wanted to make some nice artwork for the series (and I’m hoping that it will be long enough to get a good reputation), but I realized that on top of having to plan for the rest of the entire series itself, starting with the rest of the first arc (which I believe will be up to 10 main chapters and a couple side quest chapters, but it’s still up in the air for if I want to do that, if I want to make it somewhat small, or if I should do 26 chapters like every single MLP season aside from Season 3), I’d get nothing done and I may be procrastinating more than I would like to admit. I mean, heck, I somehow got to someone’s redemption moment, and that’s supposed to be in the second arc, and it was from joking to myself about it!
Anyways, I figured that getting some extra help every once in a while in the artwork/fanart department would be nice, so this is sort of a roundabout way of telling you guys that if you want to make fanart of the story, you can be my guest. However, I do have some ground rules I will cover for you guys to keep in mind:
- If you want to make fanart for this series, then you gotta comment on here first so I can give you the go ahead. I don’t think it’s something necessary, but since I’m new to this type of thing, I need some practice and I need to make sure that I don’t suddenly open up free commissions and someone suddenly asks me to draw vore or whatever (I don’t know what it means, and I don’t want to know what it means either).
- There will be a limit on what can be made into fanart. I will only limit what fanart can be made depending on where the story is; for example, say someone wanted to draw fanart for something that hasn’t happened yet in the story (I.E. Kaede meeting Shuichi and trying to kill him for whatever reason, as a hypothetical situation), unless it’s been approved by me to go draw it, no fanart of what has not happened yet will be permitted. You can draw anything for up to a certain point in the story, but nothing past that. I say this so that way, it’s fair so I don’t accidentally use someone else’s idea for my story and make everyone else mad at me and whoever drew the idea in the first place. I will announce what kind of fanart can be drawn at the time and will do my best to update it as I go along with the story.
- I will not allow drawings of smut, nudity, or porn to be drawn, although anything with gore is up for debate depending on what you want to draw. If it’s fanart of characters fighting and you want to give the in depth feel by showing blood, cuts, and injuries, etc, that sort of thing, then get by me first via sending me a note so that way I know someone came by me with that idea and I have to decide if I approve or not. As a side note, however, I draw the line of having art contain exposed organs from the body, torture, and corpses being shown in the open (although a partially seen corpse is fine, I have no issue with it). All of those that I just mentioned in that last sentence are off the table because I don’t plan to have anyone get murdered nor am I comfortable with it to be included. You do any of that, and although I can’t control what you guys post, I won’t be happy nor will it get included alongside the story.
- You can make as much fanart as you want within the restrictions such as the timeframe of it happening, and who knows? If you post something that’s super impressive, I may just notice and give you a shoutout myself in the next post I do!
- If you want to draw something specific, please send me a note and explain what your idea is first so I can give the green light on it.
- This is all subject to change, so I implore you guys to take some of what was said with a grain of salt.
I do have one challenge I want to try giving out for fanart, though. It’s for the rest of the V3 cast that does not have an MLP version yet for this specific story. I’ll come out with the first design challenge soon if I ever decide that some other people should get the chance to design some of the characters. This is not for certain, though, I’ll warn you all of that. Other than that, though, I hope you guys have a wonderful evening!
